Summary:
Features include 1) resupinate growth on wood in humid areas, 2) a fruitbody that is grayish white to yellowish, and loosely interwoven, 3) distinctive spores that are narrowly navicular to almost allantoid, and apically obtuse, 4) basidia that are 4-spored to 6-spored, and 5) a monomitic hyphal system, the basal hyphae wide, thick-walled, branching at right angles, and without clamp connections.
Microscopic:
SPORES (10)12-14(17) x 3-5 microns, narrowly navicular [boat-shaped] to almost allantoid, apically obtuse; BASIDIA 4-spored to 6-spored, 15-20 x 9-12 microns, at first rounded to ellipsoid, then obovate, obconic to subcylindric; HYPHAE monomitic, BASAL HYPHAE 10-12 microns wide, "thickwalled, the coarser hyphae with double walls", without clamp connections, hymenial hyphae 6-8 microns, colorless, without clamp connections, (Eriksson)
Notes:
Botryobasidium danicum has been found in BC and PA, (Ginns). It has been found in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, and is frequent in BC, especially in humid oceanic biotypes, (Eriksson).

Habitat
on many types of substrate but seems to prefer conifer wood, and humid localities, (Eriksson), bark; branches lying on ground; stems; logs; Abies grandis (Grand Fir), Acer circinatum (Vine Maple), Alnus rubra (Red Alder), Betula papyrifera (Paper Birch), Cornus pubescens (Western Dogwood), Pseudotsuga menziesii (Douglas-fir), Rubus spectabilis (salmonberry), Thuja plicata (Western Red-cedar), Tsuga heterophylla (Western Hemlock), Tsuga mertensiana (Mountain Hemlock), (Ginns), probably all year; also on bracken debris, (Buczacki)
